Bhiraptur to Rathambore

Our morning walk around Bhiraptur
The local market
Building Indian style

Ranthambore - out there somewhere are tigers bunkering down from the rain, thunder and lightning.
We travelled 160km today - in 5 hours!. The roads are so slow. Sharing the roads with us were cows, cows and more cows, camels, people, dogs, and goats. The Rajashtani women are so colourful - fluro orange and yellow head scarves. We were surprised how lush the land was - corn, fruit trees and other crops. Our Haveli is out of town in the middle of nowhere. We drove down skinny dirt roads, past farmers and local villages to get here. At times we wondered if the place existed at all.
Tomorrow we head off on a tiger hunting safari. It is quite wet tonight and I think the tigers may all be hiding tomorrow. It is a bit hit and miss as to whether we see any.
